Students gain a professional degree of outstanding quality in four years. In addition, Bachelor of Laws (LLB) students deal with real people with real problems as part of the innovative clinical studies programme at UC. The students hone critical practical skills in the process of helping the community. The Bachelor of Laws follows a closely prescribed structure, with courses covering a variety of legal systems in Aotearoa New Zealand and the opportunity to take optional courses in specific areas of legal interest. The Bachelor of Laws is made up 480 points: 210 points of compulsory Law courses 195 points of optional Law courses 75 points of non-Law courses from other degrees. The degree takes 4 years of full-time study, or can be studied part-time for up to 10 years.

Admission to UC with University Entrance (or equivalent) is required to enrol. English language requirements: IELTS: Academic with an average score of 6.0, with a minimum of 5.5 in reading, writing, listening and speaking; TOEFL iBT: Total minimum score of 80, with at least 19 in reading, writing and listening; TOEFL PBT: With a minimum score of 550 and TWE with a minimum score of 4.5; Pearson Test of English (Academic): PTE with an overall score of 50 and no PTE communicative skills score below 42.
