Master of Finance
The flexibility of MFin curriculum also makes it possible for students to prepare for a Ph.D. program in Finance. An innovative curriculum, including a CFA preparatory course, as well as hands-on learning at two investment centers ensure students will receive an exceptional education with this program.
The University of Dayton has successfully placed its finance majors in companies such as BlackRock, Bloomberg, Credit Suisse, Fidelity, Fifth Third Bank, IBM, Johnson Controls, JP Morgan Chase, KeyBanc Capital Markets, Mid-America Asset Management, Northern Trust, Wells Fargo Securities, and Fuyao Glass America.
The Master of Finance is a STEM-designated program. Graduates of STEM-designated programs, like our MFin program, are able to apply for a 24-month extension to their normal 1-year OPT, making for a total of 36 months (3 years).

Applicant must submit a GMAT (500 minimum, 19 verbal) or GRE (minimum verbal 149, quantitative 146) score. To have your GMAT/GRE score reported to the University of Dayton, please use the following codes: GMAT: 1834, GRE: 1834. University of Dayton undergraduate business majors with a GPA greater than 3.0 may be waived for the test.
Resume, Personal Statement & Letter of Recommendation
A professional resume is required. Applicants are encouraged to submit letters of recommendation and personal statement, but they are optional.
All applicants must submit official transcripts of previously attended higher educational institutions to the Office of Graduate Admission Processing. A GPA of 3.0 is required.
All international students without a U.S. degree are required to submit TOFEL or IELTS score. A minimum TOEFL score of 80 on the Internet-based test or 550 on the paper-based test is required for full admission. In lieu of the TOEFL, an applicant may submit International English Language Testing System (IELTS) scores. A minimum Band 6.5 score on the IELTS is required for full admission.
