Program overview
Mathematical research extends human capabilities by taking our innate skills and intuitions to higher levels. The study of maths enables modern society to make decisions, to operate more efficiently, to invent new technologies and to understand and modify the world around us.
Current research is inventing new ways of using existing mathematics as well as creating new mathematics for the future. As part of your structured mathematics major, you will study courses in topic areas such as:
