Program overview
In the core courses you will examine concepts and theories in the following learning areas:
educational philosophy, psychology, and sociology
language as a social practice
the principles and practice of quality teaching
the use and conduct of educational research
the integration of new technologies into the curriculum
You can undertake teacher preparation in the following disciplines: English, drama, mathematics, science, music, visual arts, languages, technology, Aboriginal studies, history, geography, business studies, economics, legal studies, and human society and its environment. Excluding the areas of visual arts, technology, and music, you can qualify in two teaching areas.

All applicants must hold a completed Bachelor degree that satisfies the New South Wales Education Standards Authority (NESA) requirements for accreditation, in order to be assessed for admission. Admission to the program will be based on an interview, a written piece of work and the Grade Point Average of the completed undergraduate degree, as described under Additional Selection Criteria.
