Program overview
The Master of Science (Dementia Care) is a clinically focused program that prepares practitioners for advanced professional practice in the specialist field of dementia.
Graduates are able to critically review the health and well-being of individuals living with dementia, review social policy in dementia care, and develop advocacy skills to work with users, carers and colleagues in the health, social care and voluntary sectors.
The program differs from courses offered by other NSW and Australian universities in that it is underpinned by a rehabilitation approach to dementia care.

A recognised Bachelors degree in a health-related discipline, or equivalent.
You must be able to demonstrate skills in English to satisfy course entry requirements. UOW accepts results in major international English tests, including IELTS, TOEFL, Pearsons, Cambridge, and OET. Previous study in English may also be accepted.
