Program overview

The BA Advertising, Public Relations and Media Degree blends media theory with the practices of specific industry processes, from planning Public Relations and Advertising campaigns to critical reflections on the influence of these practices on industries, audiences and the contemporary media. The first year students sit a module in which they gain real work experience of running an advertising campaign, and we emphasise core vocational skills alongside more traditional forms of academic training throughout the programme. As a student on this programme, you will benefit from being able to focus on issues and practices relevant to those areas of the Advertising and Public Relations industries that specifically interest you, but you will also develop a skills and knowledge base that will allow you to work in other sectors, such as journalism, marketing and media production.
