Program overview
The five routes within this programme prepare for a range of people and situations to deliver safe, effective and person-centred care at a higher level of nursing. You will explore professional and clinical implications of working as an autonomous practitioner and develop the leadership skills to advance and lead new innovative healthcare services.
There five routes are: Clinical Practice, District Nursing, Health Visiting, Leadership (This is the only route available to International students) and School Nursing.
The programme is driven by a philosophy that is student-centered, progressive, and practice focused, and a blended approach to learning is adopted.
You will learn within a virtual environment (CampusMoodle) and apply theoretical learning to practice through a work based learning approach. You will therefore have an opportunity to apply learning to your specific area of practice within contemporary healthcare service.
Depending on the route selected and the choice of optional modules, there will be some compulsory attendance at the University - for the clinical examination module and the prescribing element.
