To be admitted to this programme, you should - of course - be interested in clothing and textiles. And on top of that you should be interested in different cultures, you have to speak English fluently and you should have the ambition to go global. For all Saxion pathways the following general entry requirements are necessary: The student must demonstrate that they have the ability, motivation and determination to successfully complete the course; The student must be admissible to Higher Education through a diploma of secondary education/high school diploma with good results such as for Dutch students VWO, HAVO or MBO and for foreign students diplomas which are equivalent to e.g. the German Abitur (algemeine Hochschulreife), the French Baccalaureate or the American High School (top stream or plus 1 year's college); The student must have sufficient English language skills for the specific course. The students’ qualifications will be assessed by the Admission Officer of the specific study programme. You need to submit diplomas and, depending on the study programme of your choice, you might need to submit a curriculum vitae, letter of motivation and/or complete an intake interview. To enter this Bachelor's degree, an IELTS 6.0 (or comparable level of English proficiency) is necessary.
Students know everything there is to know about textile materials, innovative production methods, putting together a fashion collection, buying, selling and entrepreneurship. With their knowledge students are an indispensible link between fashion and textiles designers, makers and buyers. With the certificate and the Bachelor of Science qualification students can apply at (inter)national companies in the industry.
