Career opportunities

UL has consistently maintained its position as number one for employability in Ireland, and is one of three Irish universities to make it into the QS Graduate Employability Rankings 2017. The School of Law regularly works with the legal stakeholders including practitioners, government departments, NGOs, and other bodies. In conjunction with the UL Careers Division it has also designed a bespoke ‘Mastering your Employability’ workshop for the LLM (General) course. Students are trained on psychometric testing and CV development, and are given mock interviews with the biggest law firms in Ireland. It’s no surprise then that UL’s Law graduates have ended up as partners in major law firms, in the EU, at the Bar, in senior roles in government, in NGOs, and in academia. A recent study of 2015 graduates of the LLM revealed that 100 percent of graduates were in professional employment.
