The Course shall be offered in areas of study in ICT where the Faculty can offer expert guidance and supervision. Students will be required to write a dissertation in one of the areas listed to which 85 ECTS credits are assigned and shall consist of approximately 45,000 words, as directed by the Board on registration. Applicants interested in pursuing an M.Sc. by Research with the Department of Communications and Computer Engineering are to consult with staff members of the department before submitting their application and research proposal. Applications received without such a proposal will not be accepted. If required, this process may be coordinated by contacting the Head of Department.

The Course shall be open to applicants in possession of one of the following qualifications: (a) a Bachelor degree with a strong ICT component obtained with at least Second Class Honours (Upper Division) and comprising 180 ECTS credits or more or (b) a Bachelor degree with a strong ICT component obtained with at least Second Class Honours and comprising 180 ECTS credits, together with a Postgraduate Diploma in an ICT related discipline or (c) the degree of Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) – B.Eng.(Hons) - with at least Second Class Honours in an ICT related area of study. The admission of applicants may be made conditional on the results of an interview conducted for the purpose. Interviews, when necessary, shall be conducted by a board composed of at least three members.
