During this course students will gain following skills: 1. Cognitive skills: specialised skills involved in problem solving, research, reflection, judgement, handling of complexity, communication and innovation. 2. Practical skills: involving manual dexterity in the use of methods, materials, tools and measuring instruments for medical physics applications. 3. Transferable skills: advanced analytical, synthetic, problem solving, mathematical, computing, management, communication, leadership, project management, creative and entrepreneurial skills.

The Course shall be open to applicants in possession of a Bachelor degree obtained with at least Second Class Honours in one of the following areas of study: (a) Science with Physics as a main area of study or (b) Electrical and Electronic Engineering or (c) Mechanical Engineering or (d) Communications and Computer Engineering. Prior to registering for the Course, eligible applicants are also required to undergo a medical fitness test as directed by the Board so as to ascertain that they are fit for work which brings students in contact with the clinical environment.
