Lecturers at AAU follow the course content set out by the University of London and teach to ensure that students have the knowledge and skills expected of a laws graduate. The University of London develops the courses, selects the materials, sets the examinations, and grades to their internal standards. The degree awarded is equal in integrity to the University of London Law Consortium institutions, institutions such as LSE, UCL, and King’s College. LLB coursework completed at AAU is not formally graded but is utilized to assist students in developing their writing skills and knowledge of the subject matter. Participation and regular attendance are essential; the intimate nature of our classrooms and small class sizes ensure each student receives personal attention during each session. The integration of the University of London’s Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) and course materials with AAU’s mock exams, essays and extensive individualised feedback help students prepare for their examinations.
