The curriculum is designed to provide a sound academic and practical understanding of engineering systems and applications in the medical field. You will develop a deep understanding of the human physiology and the biological functions of the body. Specific emphasis is put on engineering knowledge and practical skills including: mathematics, electronics, software engineering, biomechanics, biomaterials, simulation and modelling of biological systems, clinical practice and research methodologies. You will experience hands on development of real-world devices from the very first year of the course to emphasise the “learning by doing” ethos we embrace.

You can apply for a 1 year masters programme with an undergraduate degree from a recognised Russian University. You should have at least an average of 4 out of 5 overall or above from a Russian university. The specific requirement will vary depending on the course you are applying for at Aston and the Russian university from which you have graduated. If you are applying for finance, engineering, science or social science based subjects; you must have studied a similar field in your undergraduate degree.
