Program overview

From the water we drink and the air we breathe, to the soil that produces our life-sustaining vegetation, environmental engineers play a major, and increasingly proactive, role in today's society. As an environmental engineer, you investigate the prevention and control of pollution of all kinds in efforts to deal with global climate change. As an environmental engineering student at Clarkson, you learn how to develop and implement technologies to solve problems such as meeting clean water supply needs and protecting public health. Other areas of interest and study you will focus on include addressing the issues of acid rain, global warming, and reducing pollution, all while maintaining or improving the quality of life we enjoy.
