This program provides a qualification for those who wish to teach students in Years 7 to 12 in the government, Catholic and independent school sectors. The course will be suitable for those looking to register as a teacher in Australia and any other countries that recognise an Australian teaching qualification. School experience forms a significant part of the degree. You will work in schools in various capacities and for varying lengths of time throughout the program. There are opportunities to undertake professional experience placements in rural and/or remote areas, interstate or overseas. The final term-long internship (generally 10 weeks in duration) will see you having the major responsibility for a class, under the supervision of a mentor teacher.

Successful completion of one year of a Diploma of Specialist at a state institution or fully accredited private institution where separate evidence of English competence is required. IELTS 6.5 with no band lower than 6.0
