Overview

Jönköping University has around 12,600 students, of which 2,300 are international students.Both within education and research, Jönköping University has a close cooperation with business and society.

Jönköping University  is one of three Swedish private, non-profit institutions of higher education with the right to award doctorates. JU operates on the basis of an agreement with the Swedish Government and conforms to national degree regulations and quality requirements. 



Entry requirements

Undergraduate programs admission requirements:
  • A high school diploma (certified copy) which entitles the student to university studies in his/her home country.
  • Transcripts of completed courses and grades
  • For bachelor programmes at the business school, you must have
    • completed social science, history or geography courses in high school/upper secondary school (equivalent to Samhällskunskap A at Swedish gymnasium).
    • completed Math studies in high school/upper secondary school (equivalent to Matematik 3b, 3c or Matematik C at Swedish gymnasium)
  • For the Engineering bachelor programme in Sustainable Supply Chain Management, maths and science requirements are higher than in other programmes.
  • Proof of English proficiency.
  • A copy of your passport
  • Letter of Motivation- Motivation letter should be no longer than 1000 words. Work experience that relates to programme considered an asset.
Postgraduate programs admission requirements:
  • Bachelor Diploma from a recognized university
  • Transcripts of completed courses and grades
  • Copy of your Passport
  • English proficiency
  • In addition, each programme has specific prerequisites.
  • Letter of Motivation- Motivation letter should be no longer than 1000 words. Work experience that relates to programme considered an asset.
  • The university does not require a GMAT, GRE or CFA, but a good score may strengthen your application to some Master’s programmes at Jönköping International Business School. You are welcome to send a certified copy of your test result with your application.

Scholarship & funding

The university offers a limited number of scholarships to students who pay tuition fees and who fulfil the requirements of the scholarship and are assessed to be able to complete their studies adequately (please see the Guidelines for Students for further details).
