Human resource managers are becoming increasingly responsible for workforce and succession planning, performance management and training systems, and compliance with workplace laws including equity and diversity obligations.
This major examines in detail how organisations can establish effective systems of recruitment, selecting candidates, remuneration, training and development, performance appraisal and retention. You will also focus on the role that human capital can play in allowing organisations to respond to new challenges and take advantage of changes in the workplace. It places strong emphasis on understanding the processes and techniques that can create and maintain high-performing, efficient and ethical organisations.
