Program overview

In collaboration with dedicated faculty members who are passionate about helping others, you’ll leverage state-of-the-art technology to explore all elements of the nursing profession while developing your nursing, communication, interdisciplinary and leadership skills. Your coursework will be complemented by partnerships with local health care organizations, where you’ll gain the hands-on experience you need to deliver safe, personalized and effective care. You’ll have the opportunity to apply your knowledge and enhance your skills using innovative technology in Merrimack’s modern labs and Nursing Center due to open spring 2020. Highlights include high fidelity simulation manikins and an Anatomage table, a 3D medical imaging table in the anatomy and physiology classroom used for virtual dissecting. The Anatomage broadcasts digitized images of human bodies, which can be used to view clear images of internal organs and bones. Construction for Merrimack’s new Nursing Center began in spring 2019. It will have two floors of laboratories, classrooms, study space and faculty offices in 20,000 square feet. It will support a variety of health sciences programs for undergraduate and graduate students and is expected to open in spring 2020.
