Program overview

This programme was developed in consultation with industry including, New Zealand King Salmon, Sealord, Aquaculture New Zealand, Aotearoa Seafoods and Marine Farming Association of NZ. On the programme students will have on average one field trip a week and experience work placements. Students will also become familiar with basic aquatic species biology, aquatic ecology, managing people in the workplace and business management.

Applicants under 20 years: 48 credits NCEA Level 2 including a minimum of 14 credits at Level 2 in each of two subjects (Mathematics and a science subject) or a qualification considered to be equivalent to the above; Proof of English proficiency; Applicants 20 years and over there are no minimum entry requirements.
