We are training you to be accountants from “day one” - not bookkeepers. In addition to the required technical skills, we help you learn to address a broad range of business problems. Classes are small, allowing for one-on-one interaction with professors, who have professional accounting backgrounds, PhDs in accounting, or both. This allows you to acquire and practice the skills needed for success, including writing, presenting, using professional tools, and case analysis. When you are nearing completion of your degree, you may register with the Chartered Professional Accountants of Alberta (CPA Alberta). Students majoring in accounting study financial reporting, individual and corporate taxation, auditing, management control systems and costing, as well as variety of other management disciplines. Our programs are accredited by CPA Alberta to ensure students will be well prepared to pursue their professional designation.

Applicants presenting Alberta high school credentials, high school credentials from other Canadian provinces, and secondary school credentials from other countries will be considered for admission under the High School Admission Route if they have not completed any university-level (transferable) courses. Applicants who present six or more transferable courses will be considered for admission under the Post-secondary Transfer Student route. To be considered for transfer credit, students must submit a course outline (syllabus) for each course completed in the previous university or college. Transfer applicants presenting three- and four-year university degrees from recognized universities may be considered for admission to a second Bachelor degree program.
