From day one you will work on sourcing and developing stories, as you produce multimedia materials (including text, audio, video, photography and graphics) for publication across social channels and online platforms. At the same time you will learn the ways in which journalism is changing, why media laws and ethics are important, and how new storytelling formats, such as podcasts and web-series, are changing the way we learn about and engage with the world around us. In addition to the core subjects and a major in Journalism, there is also the opportunity to complete another major from the below list. This will increase your knowledge and employability in the media and communication industries.

Applicants need to have achieved the required score in a qualification equivalent to the completion of 13 years of schooling in Australia. In order to succeed in your chosen course, it is assumed you have completed relevant subjects in your senior high school studies or other relevant qualifications. This is particularly important for degrees which have a strong basis in Mathematics or Science. You must be able to demonstrate skills in English to satisfy course entry requirements.
