Program overview

During this programme students will learn key theory and techniques within a project-based environment on your way to becoming a professional artist or designer. Some projects will be individually focused, others collaborative. Some will be prescribed, others will demand self-directed learning. SUBJECT AREAS INCLUDE: Drawing and Design Graphic Design: Adode creative suite industry standard software, digital photography, video, 3D rendering, web design 3D Design: wood, clay, metal, plastics Furniture interior, spatial design including CAD Print: woodblock, silkscreen, photo-silkscreen, etching Paint: acrylics, oils, new media Intron press and 3D printing Sculpture, clay, installation art Art & design history, theory Research by creative practice

Requirements

A person is eligible to apply for entry who can satisfactorily prove that they have the potential to succeed on the programme and is over the age of 20 by the official start date of their programme of study; An applicant provides the following: – A hand-written letter of application – A portfolio of work that represents the applicant’s level of achievement – An interview – Evidence of ability to cope with the academic demands of the programme – Curriculum vitae Proof of English proficiency (IELTS or equivalent)
