Overview

Founded in 1887, McMaster University is one of only four Canadian universities (and one of only two in Ontario) consistently ranked among the top 100 in the world by the major global ranking systems.

McMaster is a publicly funded research university, and a member of the Universities Canada. The McMaster Model is the university's policy for a student-centred, problem-based, interdisciplinary approach to learning, a policy which has been adopted by several other universities around the world.
